A client in the public policy sector is seeking for a Policy Researcher to join the team for 3 months. You will support a small central policy unit working across a range of priority issues, reporting into a senior member of the team. The objective of the role is to bring structured, analytical thinking to complex social and economic questions and to help shape clear, practical policy options.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on a range of policy topics, synthesising complex information into concise insights and recommendations
• Develop structured frameworks to assess policy options, trade-offs and potential impacts
• Support the design and delivery of policy projects from initial scoping through to recommendations
• Monitor external developments in relevant sectors

Requirements

• Strong academic background in public policy, politics or social affairs
• Experience in a top-tier strategy consultancy or similar environment
• Familiarity with defence, technology and the internet, AI, welfare, economic policy, or a closely related field
• Strong alignment with public service, democratic institutions and the role of policy in shaping society
