Strategic Projects Lead - Travel & Leisure

A travel and leisure company is seeking a Strategic Projects Lead on a 12-month maternity cover contract, reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.

 

You will be Identifying, scoping, planning, and executing high-impact initiatives, ranging from market expansion and product development to M&A opportunities, marketing innovation, and digital transformation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Pivotal in overseeing the delivery of the company’s strategic business roadmap
  • Develop business proposals and actionable plans, translating high-level concepts into robust strategies that win buy-in from senior leaders
  • Drive execution and change management, ensuring alignment across teams through effective stakeholder engagement (both laterally and vertically).
  • Present project updates and outcomes to senior executives and the Board of Directors, maintaining clarity and commercial focus.

 

Requirements:

  • 5–10+ years of relevant experience in management consulting or a mix of consulting and corporate strategy roles at manager level.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience or strong interest in digital-first B2C businesses and driving significant organisational change.
  • Excellent stakeholder and project management skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.

 

Details:

  • Start date: January 5th
  • Duration: 12-month maternity cover, can convert to permanent
  • Day rate: £100,000-£120,000 Fixed-Term Contract
  • Location: Flexible, with some time in head office in South England
