PROJECT LEAD - Shipping

The Role

A consultancy client is seeking a Project Lead to work with an end-client in the shipping and logistics industry for a three week strategy study. You will lead core workstreams across market analysis, scenario development and performance diagnostics, reporting directly to the senior leadership team driving this engagement. The objective of the project is to provide a clear strategic direction for the client's chemical and product tanker operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a short, focused strategy study covering market analysis, scenario modelling and financial performance decomposition
• Oversee core workstreams and ensure high-quality outputs throughout the engagement
• Collaborate closely with the client's leadership team during on site working days
• Produce clear insights and strategic recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Manage day-to-day project delivery and support junior team members where relevant

Requirements

• Experience in strategy consulting and project management from a well-known consultancy (MBB, Big4 or Boutique).
• Background in shipping is preferred but not required
• Experience in energy, chemicals or adjacent sectors is beneficial
• Strong analytical capability, with comfort in market assessment and financial performance analysis
• Ability to work on site in Denmark 3-4 days per week (EU passport helpful for travel)
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines

• Duration: 3 weeks
• Day rate: £900-1100 LTD, DOE
• Location: 3-4 days per week on client site in Denmark, 2 hours outside Copenhagen
