Job Title: Innovation Project Manager

Location: London

Working Style: 2-3 days to start and then more flexible

Day Rate: £300-£400 Outside

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Innovation Project Manager to join a dynamic team supporting multiple high-impact projects in the energy and innovation sector. This role is ideal for a proactive, independent project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rapidly assimilate into ongoing projects, reviewing and understanding existing documentation to take over as lead project manager.
  • Manage and drive progress across several innovation-focused projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
  • Liaise with a diverse group of stakeholders, including networks, innovators, regulators, and government departments.
  • Oversee project schedules, documentation, and reporting, ensuring clarity and transparency at all stages.
  • Support the planning and execution of key events, including in-person workshops/ events and project launches.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovation strategies and measurement frameworks.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a project manager, ideally within innovation, energy, or related sectors.
  • Professional Certification in Project Management (.i.e. PMP, Prince2, PMI, etc)
  • Ability to quickly understand and take ownership of in-flight projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at all organisational levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the energy sector or with energy networks is advantageous but not essential.
