Why Freshminds for graduates and early career candidates?
The Graduate and Early Careers team at Freshminds are passionate about helping candidates pursue their dream careers. We are specialists in graduate recruitment working with a huge variety of clients and candidates, often on a repeat basis. Our focus is on the consulting skillset but we work across a range of sectors from start-ups to corporate finance firms. We work closely with our candidates and want to make sure they get the ideal job for their skill set, interests and personality.
Q) What candidates work with the graduate and early careers team?
A) We are dedicated to working with candidates who are about to enter into the job market for the first time or are looking for that all important second opportunity post-graduation. With the team split into candidate managers and client consultants, we can ensure that we are bringing in the best roles to suit the candidate network.
Q) At Freshminds what roles do the graduate and early careers team focus on?
A) Our roles are broad and vary in terms of sector, skillset and experience level but what they have in common is that they are with exciting businesses that are looking for the highest calibre candidates. Whether you are a strategy analyst looking to move into a start-up, a penultimate year student looking for a summer internship with a leading investment bank or a consultant ready to move into an in-house role, our permanent offering has a huge range on offer.
Q) What is the candidate process at Freshminds?
A) We meet all of our candidates before we put them forward for a role and we assess your profile and benchmark according to job-specific competencies. This means that you will be part of a small, carefully selected shortlist rather than just another CV to land on the client’s desk. This structure means that we don’t waste the candidate’s or client’s time. We also have calls with candidates prior to each interview to give them feedback and offer advice on how to approach the next stage of the process. All offers come via us and we like to take candidates out for lunch to celebrate, so chances are you’ll be speaking to us quite a lot when you’re in a Freshminds process!
Q) Does Freshminds get involved in any other form of graduate recruitment?
A) As well as filling roles for clients based on immediate business need, we also work on top-up graduate schemes and summer internships. We have worked on schemes across consulting, financial services, retail and transport. Typically, recruitment for these will take place in late summer or the autumn. We also work on structured programmes for our more experienced candidates so it is not just for recent graduates!
