About On Purpose
Business is a powerful tool and On Purpose believes in harnessing this power towards positive social change. On Purpose is looking to work with the next generation of leaders and give them the tools to lead this change.
On Purpose was started in 2009 and April 2014 will be their seventh cohort. In the past, they have placed Associates in organisations as diverse as Big Society Capital, HCT Group, O2, Bridges Ventures, Comic Relief, Ben & Jerry’s and ToughStuff. Many of the Associates have continued to work for one of their placements and others have taken up exciting roles where they are able to use the skills gained at On Purpose to drive social and environmental change through business.
Associates gain invaluable experience, knowledge, and networks. They undertake two paid 6-month paid placements, coupled with intensive 1:1 support and world-class training provided by professionals from organisations such as McKinsey, Bain, IDEO, the Big Issue, UnLtd and Bridges Ventures, made possible by On Purpose’s diverse network.This unique experience-based program combines professional and personal development to help Associates kick-start a career with social purpose while developing the knowledge and network to help them succeed.
