An environmental company with complex logistical operations is looking to develop a scenario planning tool, to be able to integrate operations and identify growth opportunities.
They need to build a tool which can understand specific scenarios, spanning operations, finance, strategy and sales, to measure the impact of decisions and room for growth. They know they have access to a vast quantity of operational data, and they want the ability to better utilise it.
Responsibilities
- Map out existing logistics flows, production processes, depot utilisation, and vehicle fleet deployment at each site.
- Identify key factors influencing the business, and m odel and analyse various "what-if" scenarios across network optimisation, commercial strategy, process efficiency, cost optimisation and break-even analysis.
- Construct a dynamic scenario planning tool, q uantifying the potential impact of each scenario on a financial, operational and environmental level.
- Identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiency improvements.
- Help understand and deliver site-based P&L documents.
Profile
- Minimum 10 years' experience within a technical consultancy e.g. Kearney or Newton Europe
- Strong financial modelling and analysis experience
- Strong business acumen to provide recommendations as a sense check to current operations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Day rate: £600 - £800 per day, depending on experience
