Background and client problem:

Our client is a global FMCG business that was looking at potential acquisition targets and required a consultant to go over a list of leads in order to assess their suitability against a set of established criteria.

The goal of the project was to have a vetted list of acquisition targets within the consumer business space, which could be pursued for M&A activity in the near future.

Search period: 3 day

This consultant would need to specific experience within the FMCG space, as well as commercial due diligence experience for private equity firms.

Our search was focused on these two key attributes and we were able to find 2 suitable candidates. Ultimately, one of the two was selected to go forward.

  • 5 years of experience in investment banking and 'big 4' transaction advisory

  • Project experience within consumer goods and retail
