After becoming part of a larger consulting firm at the end of 2021, our client needed strategic support as they looked to build out their first UK team.

Discover how we supported their plans by sourcing five impressive senior profiles with industry-specific and consulting experience.

The requirement

After successfully completing a piece of work for one of our long-running, top-tier consulting clients, Freshminds was introduced to the senior management team of a business that they had recently acquired at the end of 2021.

Highly regarded and well-established in their domestic market, the firm had ambitions to launch in the UK and initially came to Freshminds for support in building out their senior team.

Freshminds quickly understood the task at hand, and with dedicated resources and single-point-of-contact to our team, helped us create momentum in building up a new branch in the UK. They offered speed, professionalism and integrity throughout the process.

Our approach

After taking time to meet with the team on numerous occasions, Freshminds undertook a retained search aimed at headhunting commercial high-performers from competitors within the UK market.

After successfully placing an Associate Partner and Senior Manager with the firm (their UK hires number one & two), our client asked for further support as they looked to build out their junior and mid-level ranks.

Deciding to independently run their own Graduate Programme, the Freshminds team focused its efforts on further headhunts at Consultant & Senior Consultant levels, targeting both industry profiles as well as those with consulting experience.

The impact

To date, Freshminds has made five placements with the London team from Consultant to Associate Partner level, and we remain dedicated to further supporting the firm’s growth in 2023 and beyond.

Our senior placements have been crucial to the team’s growth in the UK over the last 12 months, with projected headcount targets being further increased to meet the demand of the nascent UK business.
