Five Funniest Interview Blunders – things not to do!
Falling off your chair during your interview -Do try to stay calm and collected during your interview, relax and try not to fidget too much, so that your interviewer can concentrate on what you’re saying and not what you’re doing!
Forgetting your own name -It is important to prepare thoroughly for your interview, researching the company and role in detail. Come armed with a few key questions and don’t forget the important details!
Coming to your interview with clothes inside out - Presentation is key, come appropriately dressed for your interview, make sure you feel comfortable but still project a professional image. Try to adapt to the interview style of the interviewer, and allow them to guide you through the questions. Be prepared to have your word-perfect set speech cut short!
Being aware of personal hygiene - Do not sneeze in the receptionist’s face: First impressions are crucial, think about the image you are creating at all times and make sure the impression you leave is a lasting one for all the right reasons!
Claiming to be an international Astronaut on your CV - Providing inaccurate information is never a good idea, you will always get caught out and clients will not be very impressed. Always be honest and make sure you can back up any claims you make. Integrity is key!
