Senior Associate-Research & Development

A financial services firm is looking for an experienced Associate to join their Research and Development team in order to manage internal processes and initiatives to drive growth.

They provide high-quality research to enhance the firm's business development and marketing activities, which in turn have a huge impact on revenue. The team has an increasingly strong presence in the business and has seen fantastic results based on their work. They are a close-knit, hardworking team with a real focus on and appreciation for how technology, data and research can drive growth.

As the team grows you will become increasingly integral to the team, working alongside the Head of team and managing Analysts. You will have high levels of responsibility from the outset developing new processes and introducing value-add technology. Although this is not a route into a front office role within financial services, you will still get the chance to work with senior individuals across the business. You will also be working across the firm’s verticals to understand how the team can maximise its potential by understanding industry activity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing the Research & Development team
  • Creating and improving systems and processes to scale lead generation efforts and improve productivity
  • Managing relationships with outsourced research providers
  • Helping to manage the R&D innovation pipeline
  • Working with the R&D Director to support strategic initiatives

We're looking for:

  • A 2:1 or higher from a top university
  • Ca. 3 years in a commercial environment
  • A business mind-set and prior exposure to a range of industries
  • Experience in managing processes and/or people
  • A respect for and understanding of systems and CRM
  • Proactive and dedicated to seeking out opportunities
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Prior experience in research, business development or consulting would be beneficial
