A leading UK charity is looking for a consultant to help with strategic planning, supporting ongoing projects and governance. The role is pivotal on turning strategy into annual plans and allowing the team to be the centre of excellence for the organization – directly reporting into the Executive Director of Strategy, Research and Performance.


  • Support the team in delivering the strategy effectively and ensure a consistent approach to organizational planning and budgeting.

  • Establish a Project Management Office to work on strategic and change initiatives across the organization.

  • Lead, develop and champion a project management framework, including providing training for colleagues on how to achieve consistency on project delivery.

  • Oversee organizational processes on ‘plan, do, check and change’ across the organization. Identify report and manage risks. Oversee the organizational planning and budgeting cycle.

  • Ensure all projects are scheduled and resourced to deliver according to strategic objectives. Develop processes and methodologies to add structure, uniformity and governance.


  • Experience from a leading management consultancy or relevant industry role

  • Excellent project management and operational planning skills, including demonstrable experience of managing simultaneous projects

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Experience of strategic planning and budgeting process


  • Pro rata salary: £45,000-£50,000

  • Start date: 6th April 2019

  • Duration: Until 20th December 2019

  • Location: London
