Operations Analysts for Boutique Consultancy

£140 - £250 per day

A boutique consultancy is working with a leading UK supermarket chain on a project aimed to increase store operational efficiencies by improving the availability of stock for consumers through predicting real-time demand as accurately as possible. They require two analysts to develop a model to track current operational activity in relation to inventory movement in stores.

The model will be piloted across a few stores and if successful, will be rolled out to all UK stores. This is an opportunity to allow you to apply and develop your modelling capabilities and support key decision-making with insight.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Create a model to track store inventory lines and their end-to-end supply chain movement
  • Draw key insights on current inefficiencies and report on where improvements can be made
  • Manipulate the model for different scenarios to draw conclusions on best practice recommendations
  • Liaise with a range of stakeholders to gather appropriate data for analysis

 

Your profile:

  • Proven commercial experience building operations/ supply chain models from end to end
  • Strong ability to manipulate and draw insights from large datasets using Excel
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience and working with close to no-supervision
  • Experience using VBA is beneficial but not essential

  • Start: As soon as possible
  • Duration: 3 months with the potential to be extended/ or become permanent
  • Location: Central London
  • Day rate: Up to 250 PAYE depending on experience
