We are working with s a specialist sports dispute resolution law firm, which is internationally recognised for its representation of sportspeople to find a graduate Life Sciences Scientist/Statistician. The firm have been representatives in many high profile proceedings and has a world class reputation.

The Role

Anti-doping proceedings frequently involve complex areas of science and/or statistics.

At present, the firm's lawyers consult directly with external independent scientists/statisticians, who are leaders in their fields, in the course of such proceedings. However, our client now has the need for in-house scientists and statisticians to bridge the gap between its lawyers and those external scientists/statisticians - opportunities for individuals with a graduate degree, and/or a postgraduate qualification, in a scientific discipline (ideally in the biological sciences or chemistry) or in mathematics/statistics – to assist with its anti-doping cases.

While the role is not a legal role, there may be opportunity to train as a lawyer in the future, depending on the wishes of the successful candidate, their performance, and business need.

You will be/have:

  • At least a 2:1 from a top university in a Life Sciences degree or in Maths/Statistics
  • Ideally some internships or a placement year in any field
  • A strong interet in the subject matter and a desire to progress as a Scientist, Statistician or Lawyer in the future
  • Friendly, Motivated and Ambitious
