International Retailer, Product Development Consultant

£750 - £850 per day

Having recently defined a 5 year growth plan the immediate aim is to develop and execute on 8 critical strategic pillars. One of these strategic pillars is developing the product through innovation, developing a category management strategy and developing the businesses “own brand.” The consultant will report directly to the Commercial Director and will interact with key stakeholders within the business.

Responsibilities

The consultant will work across four key project domains:

  • The development of an innovation process to get products to market.
  • The development of a long-term strategy to define a robust category management strategy.
  • The development of the businesses “own brand”
  • Defining the value proposition as a commercial offer and defining a “customer mission” approach.

All projects will require significant interface with all commercial, brand and marketing functions of the business at a senior level.

Requirements

  • Trained in a leading strategy/management consultant
  • Experience in the retail sector is essential
  • Experience working on brand development and innovation strategy projects
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to adapt to diverse stakeholders
