A leading global retailer is looking for a consultant to assist on the design of their own-brand architecture by conducting an end-to-end review of the current state of the product categories. You will work with senior stakeholders within the strategy team and wider business to recommend practical solutions for each of the category teams within the business.


  • Assist on the design of an own-brand architecture review process
  • Design a best practice methodology for ongoing reviews by the buying team
  • Conduct an end-to-end review of current state of own-brand architecture for a large variety of sub-categories, incorporating analysis of sales data, the competitive environment, and an overview of category strategy.
  • Provide recommendations for each sub-category down to product level, such that it is immediately actionable by each buyer.


  • 3-5 years  strategy consulting experience
  • Experience working on product/category strategy assignments
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Capability to draw insights from data and present recommendations


  • Start date: 22nd April
  • Duration: 3 months
  • Day rate: £500-£600
  • Location: London/Midlands
