The Church Commissioners for England is one of the largest charitable endowments in the UK and manages the historic investment portfolio of the Church of England. The £8.3bn investment fund is managed in a responsible and ethical way, and the returns it generates contribute to the cost of supporting the work and mission of the Church of England, especially in lower income areas where there is greater need and opportunity.

The new Investment Analyst will join the small and collaborative public equities team who oversee and manage a portfolio of over £3bn. The role directly supports the senior equities team alongside the broader investment team. The main responsibilities of the role are to assess prospective investment opportunities and monitor existing investment managers to ensure that they are being managed consistently and are best positioned to generate returns for the overall fund. The role includes research and report writing on both existing and prospective investment ideas, as well as presenting your assessment to the trustees. A key part of the role is regularly meeting and interviewing investment managers.

We are looking for someone with strong communications skills and the ability to deal credibly with senior internal and external stakeholders. You must have commercial nous with a passion for investing in an ethical way and for understanding investments and market trends. Financial experience is not required.
