Our client is a London based media business looking for a Commercial Manager to optimize and enhance their sales team, lifting their commercial performance to the next level and allowing further growth. The sales team is core to the business and as such has a very significant impact on the organization’s overall performance. As such, the Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the team’s activity is organized in the most profitable and efficient manner, acting as a quantitative sense check on the sales numbers and allowing for more streamlined processes and structures. Once the fundamentals are properly in place, the remit, for the right candidate has the ability to broaden significantly and a much more strategic remit is envisaged. This cold involve tasks such as spotting future opportunities, analyzing market trends and looking out for new potential B2B partnerships as well as analysing their physical assets and ensuring they are being utilized in the most efficient manner possible. The ideal person for this role will be highly quantitative, very accurate on the numbers, highly organized and comfortable getting stuck in with the sales team – a background in consulting is a plus but not a definite must.
