Our client is a fast-paced, expanding and entrepreneurial information services firm that helps clients to make informed decisions by setting up information sharing meetings with its extensive network of industry experts. Much of the work fits within the financial services industry, helping investment managers to make informed investment decisions, but it also incorporates strategy consultancies and senior business decision makers.
The focus of the Lead Analyst role is to take on real responsibility from the outset. You will not be conducting primary research itself, but rather manage and execute each client request by identifying the client’s need, finding an appropriate expert to fulfil the request – and putting the parties in touch. Often that will result in a quick telephone conversation, but it will also include face-to-face meetings and roundtable events. You’d be working as part ofa team of multinational professionals who thrive on providing an intelligent, fast-paced service to a growing number of the world’s leading investment firms. There is a discernable collaborative spirit within the team and a positive buzz in the office.
We’re looking for highly motivated and energetic individuals who already have exposure to the business world. You will therefore be client ready (1-3 years experience) and in turn will make a major contribution to this rapidly growing and fast-paced team. You’ll be working with Europe’s largest hedge funds and other clients from the investment community who are seeking expertise across a range of sectors, juggling multiple fast-turnaround requests. It’s a combination of identifying the exact nature of each request – for which you’ll need your strong analytical skills – and then identifying the right people who can help, using a range of networks to achieve this. You’ll quickly have one of the most outstanding personal networks within industry as well as unlimited opportunities to gain exposure within this rapidly-growing company, where they’ll be looking for you to make a genuine impact from day one.
You’ll need to be bright, outgoing and intellectually curious, with proven success in a prior industry but yet looking for a change in the direction of your career. You must be happy to roll up your sleeves and balance diplomacy when dealing with demanding clients alongside tenacity when contacting experts to draw upon their help. You will hold a degree from a top university, for which you received a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent), and you’ll be ready to build on your existing skills to help drive the company forward. Fluency in a European Language such as French, German or Spanish would be a distinct advantage.
