Analyst - Financial Advisory
Our client is a well backed start-up, specializing in financial advisory for sub £100m TMT companies. In its exciting early stages, it is an entrepreneurial investment house with a wealth of sector expertise and, whilst they work within TMT as a whole, also have a focus on online and offline gaming. They are now looking for a super bright and ambitious candidate to join them and help build on their success. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast paced, high growth firm, alongside two of the industry’s biggest names who are at the top of their game.
The role will provide unrivalled exposure to sector experts, impressive clients and the entire deal process. The key responsibilities of the role will be Deal origination and execution –
The preparation of sector research and notes
Running the tender process
Managing deal documentation
Preparing information memorandum
Involvement in client contact
Gradually becoming involved in the negotiation process
General support to partners in all areas of the deal
Candidates will have a solid amount of experience within banking, accounting, corporate finance, M&A or strategy consulting. This experience is essential as candidates will be expected to hit the ground running, taking on a vast amount of responsibility from the outset and will therefore need to possess the relevant skill set.
Experience or a demonstrable interest in the TMT sector is essential, preferably leaning towards a media focus. You will need to be passionate about the work that the firm does and type of client it works with as well as up-to-date on news and trends within the TMT market.
Attributes and experience required:
2.1 degree or higher from a top-tier university
Excellent analytical skills
Experience with complex financial modelling
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Astute attention to detail
Proactive, confident and looking to excel within a small and dynamic environment
Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
