Title: Senior Instructional Designer - Digital learning and Technology

The Role

A client in the EdTech sector is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to join the team for a 5 week engagement.

You will lead the end-to-end design of a four-course, public-facing AI certification programme, transforming prescribed technical content into a structured, high-quality learning journey for external audiences. You will work closely with the client and digital learning teams, with the objective of delivering a cohesive, certification-ready programme at pace and with strong instructional rigour.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured content deep-dives with the client to translate pre-defined AI curriculum into a clear learning architecture
• Design detailed learning blueprints and wireframes across four certification courses
• Define delivery approaches including video, interactive elements, assessments, and written modules
• Ensure alignment with certification standards and public-domain approval requirements
• Collaborate closely with e-learning developers, video production teams, and designers during build
• Maintain consistency in learning outcomes, structure, and user experience across all courses
• Structure complex technical content into accessible, engaging formats for external audiences
• Drive delivery pace while maintaining high standards of instructional design quality

Requirements

• Proven experience operating as a Senior Instructional Designer within digital, technical, or certification-based learning environments
• Strong experience designing programmes in AI, technology, or similarly complex subject areas
• Demonstrated ability to structure and simplify complex technical content for external learners
• Experience working within prescriptive client environments with defined content inputs
• Familiarity working alongside LMS developers, digital learning teams, and multimedia specialists
• Strong understanding of instructional design frameworks and certification programme standards
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
